Goeffrey Zorzi
Industrial Director at Janson Capsules
How did load/capacity planning work at Ramondin before Oplit? What were the pain points?
In our profession and industry, the service rate is very important. It is necessary to have a good service rate to stand out from the competition.
We operated with Excels and with our ERP. Certain tasks could be repetitive and time-consuming, such as data collection.
For my part, there was a lot of time allocated to data re-entry work but also to client follow-up to ensure a good service rate.
I particularly liked your empirical approach; you start from an abstract need and manage to rationalize it in a concrete way. We wanted to bring flexibility to our ERP, which was particularly heavy and not very adaptable. Oplit has truly become a real daily work tool for us, even though we have not yet used its full potential.
Specifically, why Oplit? Above all, it is the flexibility of the tool. It is adaptable to a variety of trades while being standard. We see that your approach is primarily field-based, and it shows. Flexibility must become the watchword in the industry to best meet all clients, and Oplit has understood this dynamic very well.
We have better visibility over our machinery and the time spent managing capacity load is much less. Previously, it took me 4 hours a week, whereas it now only takes me 30 minutes.
There has also been a drastic reduction in human error, with data entry errors being reduced by four times in a very short period. Therefore, I almost no longer need to check the data processing.
The time allocated for doing our client reviews each day has been greatly reduced. They used to take us between 30 and 45 minutes, whereas now they are immediate. So I gain 3 days a month of working time if we put it all together.
Our teams have actually embraced the project really well, with a reduction in repetitive tasks in favor of more in-depth thinking on strategic decisions. Many positions have therefore taken on a different dimension with much more autonomy and the capacity for occasional substitutability.
Oplit has allowed us to reconsider our production model. Thus, we have modified our cost centers and our production strategy thanks to this visualization, provided by Oplit, of our abstract needs.
Oplit provides us with better logistical tracking with our ability to project into the future and especially to better visualize our production needs.
Since we have Oplit, our service rate has increased by 12%. We are reaching 90-92% with a target of 95% in the long term. With Oplit, we primarily limit the variability of this service rate.
Oplit is also a communication tool between workshops; I can now have a true real-time production follow-up.
We would like to completely dematerialize the work orders to limit this administrative task, especially since our production is expected to increase significantly soon.
It is a pleasure to work with you, you have really understood the client/supplier relationship well. And we look forward to the new Oplit features for even more flexibility.
